After releasing the album "The Bridge" in 2021 and spending several years on the road, Sting is finally unveiling a new track titled "I Wrote Your Name (Upon My Heart)."
This new song features a variation on what Dr. Godfriend Toussaint described as the "rhythm that conquered the world." It was notably popularized by Bo Diddley's 1955 single titled "Bo Diddley" and has appeared in many rock hits throughout history.
The track also introduces Sting's new band, which includes Sting on bass and vocals, Dominic Miller on guitar, and Chris Maas on drums, with contributions from Martin Kierszenbaum on keyboards. They will begin a U.S. tour together in mid-September under the name "Sting 3.0." However, no European dates have been announced yet.
It is worth noting that Sting has performed many concerts in France and Europe in recent years as part of the "My Songs" tour, where he revisited some of the most significant songs from his career, both with The Police and as a solo artist.
