Lady Gaga promises "a completely different era" and is working intensively on the successor to "Chromatica"
Before the highly anticipated release of "Joker 2", Lady Gaga finally fulfills her fans' dream by releasing the film-concert from her "Chromatica Ball" tour. This spectacle, which took place in 20 concerts around the world between July and September 2022, set the Stade de France ablaze with a performance marked by leather and queer themes. Available since May 25 on HBO Max, the "Chromatica Ball" reveals all its behind-the-scenes secrets. "I'm so excited. There's nothing I can imagine that would be better than resonating with the community for whom I made it. Happy Pride to all!" Lady Gaga declared on the red carpet of the premiere, where she made a splash with an avant-garde look including a car bumper.
Lady Gaga personally spent long hours in the editing room perfecting her project. "There are so many details to see in this show, so many elements to admire in a stadium. From the costumes to the fashion sense of the show, the storytelling through the various sculptures we created, the wigs, the makeup, the choreography, the music... It's an experience that can't be replicated, unless you see it in this film. I hope people will enjoy it because it's truly unprecedented," she told ET Online, proud to conclude the "Chromatica" saga with this film project. "This album and tour were both an end and a new beginning. It served as a conclusion to a very long period of my career that I needed to say goodbye to. Old stories, old wounds, fears, things that were challenging and difficult to overcome. Going on tour with all my friends and creating this art was a total rebirth for me, a liberation," attests the singer of "Rain on Me".
Lady Gaga took the opportunity to thank her community of little monsters for their loyalty. "I'm really grateful to the fans because they always leave me space to be as imaginative as I want to be," she said before the film screening, while revealing some information about her new album. For several months now, Lady Gaga has been in the studio creating new songs. "I'm working on my new music all the time. I live for it, I breathe for it. I can't wait to deliver it to my fans," says the singer, adding that "the next era will be completely different".
