London Grammar: Back in Grace with "House", a New Album Announced

London Grammar unveils the video for "House" and takes the opportunity to announce the release of its fourth album.

Three years after the excellent "Californian Soil" and a handful of singles including the superb "Dancing By Night" with SebastiAn, the English group today marks its grand return with the single "House," teased for several weeks on social media. With this new track, which blends a soaring sound with an almost drum'n'bass electro beat, London Grammar confirms the more up-tempo turn taken since "Californian Soil".

Hannah Reid takes the opportunity to proclaim loudly and clearly, "This is my place, my house, my rules." "It's about drawing boundaries around oneself. When I turned thirty, my mindset shifted, and I never felt like a victim of anything again. I thought making music should be fun, and that's what we're going to do," comments the 34-year-old singer, now a mother.

The video for "House," shared for the occasion, follows the journey of a fly in a building and its various inhabitants. If the three members of the group do not appear on screen, it is for a good reason. "This album will probably be the last time we appear in our videos," warns Hannah. "I love being able to walk down the street without anyone knowing who I am, and yet we fill huge halls with people who love our music. We have worked very, very hard, and it has paid off. I want us to continue making music together until we are old, wrinkled, and completely out of date." Let it be known!

Through the single "House," London Grammar confirms the release of its fourth album, entitled "The Greatest Love," for September 13th. And the three musicians have worked tirelessly for several years to deliver what they consider to be their best work. "These past two years have changed our priorities and our way of working as artists. It's a big part of our story," says Hannah Reid, while musician Dan Rothman adds, "This title is like a symbol of the fact that we believe in ourselves. When we first worked on it, we left the studio saying to ourselves, 'This is the best thing we've ever done!'".
