A new film featuring Donald Duck, has been announced by Disney Studios. It will be the first in over 63 years.

According to BFMTV, Donald Duck, Walt Disney's angry and clumsy duck who celebrated his 90th anniversary on Sunday , will be back . On this occasion, Disney Studios have decided to release a new short film, "D.I.Y. Duck," which will be available on YouTube and Disney+.

This is actually a real event because, although Donald Duck has briefly appeared in many Disney films over the past fifty years, the last film starring the famous duck himself was in 1961.

In this new short film directed by Mark Henn, a legend of animation cinema, Donald tries his hand at DIY, but faced with his clumsiness, the duck gets angry and lets himself be overwhelmed by his anger.

"I tried to imagine a situation that would be funny and modern but also timeless," said Mark Henn in a statement. "Today's audience can easily identify with this situation, as Donald is the perfect ordinary man."

"It's also a perfect story for animation," he added. "We worked with a group of young 2D animators, who jumped at the chance to work on one of Disney's greatest characters."

Mark Henn, who has just ended his career after 43 years at Disney, has animated some of the studio's most famous characters, from Ariel in "The Little Mermaid" to Beauty in "Beauty and the Beast," as well as Simba in "The Lion King" and Mulan.

It should be noted that the animator will be one of the guests of honor at the upcoming Annecy Animation Festival, which will take place next week in southeastern France, a festival during which Mark Henn's career will be celebrated, as reported by BFMTV.
