Lenny Kravitz upcoming album "Blue Electric Light" scheduled for may 24

Lenny Kravitz continues to pave the way for the release of his upcoming album "Blue Electric Light," scheduled for May 24th. After receiving his star on the Walk of Fame, the rocker takes us back to the 70s with his new single "Human."

It must be said that the singer is having a flamboyant start to the year marked by an important event: he has finally received his star on the Walk of Fame. A supreme honor for the performer of "Are You Gonna Go My Way," who received speeches from his daughter Zoë Kravitz and his friend Denzel Washington. "I used to walk these streets because the action and courage that were missing in New York were here in Hollywood. When I was a teenager, I spent a lot of time walking on Hollywood Boulevard and seeing the names of all my idols," said the 59-year-old American rocker with emotion. "I never dreamed of being a star. I was just looking for a place to fit in. But I dreamed of making music and creating my own path. To see my name, Lenny Kravitz, eternally engraved in the same streets I used to walk is an unreal and indescribable feeling."

This sets Lenny Kravitz up nicely for the release of his new album "Blue Electric Light," the 12th of his career, set for May 24th. Six years after "Raise Vibration," this return is described in four words in the press release: "Timeless. Explosive. Romantic. Inspiring." This is evident with the funk-rock track "TK421," accompanied by a very caliente video, which precedes "Human," the second excerpt from "Blue Electric Light" released today.

On this track, which he premiered on Jimmy Fallon's late-night show, the musician rediscovers a soul-funk spirit from the 70s. "It's the last song I recorded in the Bahamas for the album. I dreamt about it the night before going to the studio and it became the title track of the album. 'Blue Electric Light' is really about this vibration of love, of God, of spirit," says Lenny Kravitz to explain this new opus, before adding: "We are human, we are spiritual beings having a human experience. That's the journey!"

Two weeks after its release, the video for "Human" is released. It takes us into the frenzy of daily life in New York, between traffic jams, public transportation, and overloaded dinners. But the electric, and therefore humanistic, music of Lenny Kravitz will unite all the inhabitants, even if it means taking them to the skies and making the rocker's shirt fall off!

Alongside the timeless "Fly Away" or "It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over," "TK421" and "Human" will most likely be on the setlist for the singer's grand world tour, which begins on June 23rd in Hamburg.
