Casio Unveils the CRW-001-1JR Ring Watch
As Casio continues to celebrate its 50th anniversary, the brand has introduced a groundbreaking new timepiece: the CRW-001-1JR Ring Watch. This innovative design reimagines the concept of wearing a watch, offering a miniature version of G-SHOCK’s iconic full-metal B2100 and B5000 series. The CRW-001-1JR combines cutting-edge technology with a stylish, compact design, allowing users to wear time directly on their fingertips.
According to HypeBeast, the creation of this distinctive ring-shaped watch is made possible through advanced Metal Injection Molding (MIM) technology, a process where powdered metal is injected into a mold to create the watch’s complex shape. By utilizing this technology, Casio has achieved a sleek, metal body that’s both lightweight and durable. The case, back cover, and ring are all molded as a single piece, using glass bonding technology to ensure a smooth, airtight build. This meticulous manufacturing process guarantees that the watch remains resilient while retaining its modern, elegant look.
Built for practicality, the CRW-001-1JR Ring Watch is waterproof, making it a versatile accessory for daily wear, including during activities that may involve water exposure. It also offers the ability to display the time in two different time zones simultaneously, an ideal feature for travelers or those managing international schedules. The watch’s 7-segment LCD screen displays not only the time, but also the date, seconds, and dual time zone information. In addition, it has a stopwatch function and a subtle flashing light that illuminates at a set time, offering a unique and stylish visual cue.
The CRW-001-1JR is powered by a small battery, providing users with the convenience of digital precision in a compact and wearable form. Despite its miniature size, it is packed with features that make it a truly functional piece of wearable technology. With a price tag of ¥19,800 JPY (approximately $128 USD), the CRW-001-1JR Ring Watch will be available for purchase through Casio starting in December, giving watch enthusiasts and tech lovers a new and exciting way to keep time at their fingertips.
