Oasis guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs' piano goes up for auction

A piano once gifted to Oasis guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs by Alan McGee is set to be auctioned.

According to BBC News, this E108 walnut Yamaha is one of four pianos given to Bonehead in 1996 by McGee, who discovered the Britpop band in 1993 and later signed them to Creation Records.

The piano is expected to fetch between £8,000 and £10,000 in an online auction scheduled for 12 PM GMT on December 10.

It will also include a letter of authenticity signed by Arthurs. Sean McIlroy, director of Piano Auctions Ltd, noted that this is the first of the four pianos gifted by McGee to Oasis to be offered at auction.

“What makes it exciting is that Bonehead and possibly other band members will have played out elements of their songs on this piano, and now Oasis fans and collectors can try their hands on the same keys.”

He added: “I can imagine that there will be a few Oasis and music fans who would love this piano as a Christmas present, but they will need quite deep pockets.”

Arthurs, who co-founded Oasis, played on some of the group’s biggest albums – their 1994 debut ‘Definitely Maybe’, as well as ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ (1995) and ‘Be Here Now’ (1997).

Arthurs, who left Oasis in 1999, is rumored to be rejoining the band for their highly anticipated reunion tour next year. He has also performed with Liam Gallagher’s solo band. Other rumored members for the Oasis Live ’25 tour include guitarist Gem Archer and bassist Andy Bell.

While drummer Alan White sparked speculation on social media this summer, NME reports that he is unlikely to be part of the reunion. Liam Gallagher has hinted that the lineup might include “a few new faces” as well.

The band is set to perform in the UK and Ireland during the summer, with Richard Ashcroft and Cast as support acts. They will also tour North America, South America, Australia, South Korea, and Japan.
