Kim Kardashian introduces the world to her "new friend", Tesla's Optimus Robot, and is amazed by its capabilities

Kim Kardashian is showcasing her latest high-tech luxury gadget.

On November 18, she shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) featuring her new Tesla robot. She captioned the video, "meet my new friend🦾🤖@Tesla."

In the clip, Kim playfully asks the Tesla bot, "Can you do this? I love you?" while forming a hand heart. When the robot completes the gesture, she gasps in surprise, exclaiming, "You know how to do that?"

In another clip shared on her Instagram Stories, the American Horror Story actress teaches the robot how to blow a kiss and even manages to win a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors. "You're so cute!" she says when the Tesla bot blows her a kiss. The robot also demonstrates various actions, such as mimicking running, waving, and doing the "Raise the Roof" dance.

According to CEO Elon Musk, production of the Tesla Gen 2 humanoid robot, also known as Optimus, will ramp up by 2026, though Tesla may begin using them internally as soon as next year. Once available to the public, the Tesla bots are expected to cost between $20,000 and $30,000.

In later Instagram Stories, Kardashian showcases a second Tesla robot in gold, along with a gold Tesla Cybercab that has yet to be released. It's unclear whether these Tesla products are personal purchases or if Kardashian, who already owns a Tesla Cybertruck, is simply testing them out.

Earlier this year, Kardashian's mom, Kris Jenner, gifted her youngest son, Psalm, a toy Cybertruck for his fifth birthday. "Now you match mommy, huh?" Kardashian said in a video shared on May 9.

"I’m gonna drive this to school!" Psalm exclaimed excitedly in the clip. "You can’t drive this to school," Kardashian replied with a laugh. "Get in it, let me see." She later expressed her gratitude, writing, "Thank you mom! @krisjenner for the coolest gift for Psalm for his birthday. Baby Cybertruck."
