Apple unveils iPhone 15 and 15 Pro Max new features

Apple has recently unveiled its latest high-end iPhones, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. These smartphones are constructed with titanium and feature Action Buttons. Apple claims that they are the most powerful devices they have ever produced.

The iPhone 15 Pro starts at $999 with 128GB of storage, while the Pro Max begins at $1,199 with 256GB of storage. Pre-orders for both models will be available this Friday, and they will be on sale starting September 22nd.

Both the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max come with a 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch display, respectively, which matches the screen size of the new iPhone 15 and 15 Plus.

They are powered by the A17 Pro chip, which Apple asserts has the fastest performance among smartphones and can rival certain high-end PCs. With an upgraded GPU, Apple believes these devices have the potential to enhance the gaming experience on mobile phones.

In terms of connectivity, both phones feature a USB-C port instead of the traditional Lightning port. The 15 Pro is the first phone to offer 10Gbps transfer speeds, enabling faster and easier file transfers. The devices also come with a robust enclosure, designed to be highly durable.

The iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max are available in white, black, blue, and "natural" colors. Apple emphasizes the intricate engineering behind the devices and introduces the Action Button, which replaces the ringer switch and can be customized to perform various shortcuts and functions.

Apple boasts that the 15 Pro and Pro Max house their best cameras yet, offering the equivalent of seven distinct lenses. Improved low-light photography, reduced lens flare, and AI-enhanced full-res HEIF photo capabilities are among the camera upgrades. Users can now switch between multiple focal lengths within the main camera and enjoy up to 5x optical zoom, the highest ever offered by Apple.

For videography, the devices allow 4K60 ProRes video recording and the option to shoot directly to an external drive through the USB-C port. Additionally, the 15 Pro enables the capture of spatial videos, similar to the Vision Pro's 3D content.

In line with previous iPhone launches, Apple follows a pattern of incorporating last year's Pro features into the base models while using the Pros to showcase their innovative ideas.
