TikTok 'disappointed' with EU probe into new Lite app rewards

TikTok on Monday expressed its disappointment with the EU's investigation into its spinoff Lite app's programme that rewards users for watching and liking videos, amid child-safety concerns.

"We are disappointed with this decision -- the TikTok Lite rewards hub is not available to under 18s, and there is a daily limit on video watch tasks. We will continue discussions with the (European) Commission," said a TikTok spokesperson.
