Bob Marley will come back to life on the big screen with the movie "Bob Marley: One Love"
The biopic craze continues. After the huge success of "Bohemian Rhapsody" on Queen and Freddie Mercury, several artists were entitled to a film about their lives, from Elton John to Whitney Houston or Elvis Presley. And it's not over ! Feature films are in preparation around Michael Jackson, Céline Dion, Robbie Williams, Bob Dylan, Amy Winehouse, Madonna, Kiss, Aretha Franklin, Frankie Goes To Hollywood and even Charles Aznavour. So why not Bob Marley?
Bob Marley left us 42 years ago. But he will live again on the big screen thanks to the biopic "Bob Marley: One Love" which will look back on his life as a man and an artist.
This biopic on the legend of reggae will be directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, who worked on the film "The Williams Method" about the rise of the Williams sisters, for which Will Smith won the Oscar for best actor.
The screenplay for the film will be written by Zach Baylin ("The Williams Method") and Ziggy Marley, the late singer's eldest son, who is also serving as producer.
In fact, it seems that the biopic would start in 1976 and would be devoted in particular to the creation of the album "Exodus", after the interpreter of "No Woman, No Cry" survived an assassination attempt, forcing him to leave Jamaica to settle in London.
After more than a year of searching, it is finally the British comedian Kingsley Ben-Adir (37), seen in the series "Peaky Blinders" and who already played Malcolm X in the film "One Night in Miami", and that we can see in "Barbie", which has been chosen! However, the actor has no musical training, and because of this, he had to learn to sing and play the guitar for the role.
